Breeder's Social I

This is the one that started the traditional.  Back then, we didn't know if this would be a one-time event, or if it would catch on.  Thanks to Gary Hater, one of the foremost breeders of Ranchus in the US, the event caught on..

Over the past few years, the event has evolved from a purely social gathering to a teaching event as well, with breeders getting together to share brood stock, and learn from other breeders. 

In time, the quality of fish produced from this event has increased dramatically, as you can tell from the attached photos.  Gary and the attending breeders also conduct judging seminars to determine the best stock, conformation, etc.
